The top-flight now enters its winter break earlier than planned after the Scottish Government introduced restrictions on crowds at sporting events.
Attention now turns to the January transfer window with most clubs likely to do business, looking to strengthen for the second half of the season, with some players moved on to get game time.

5. Neilson hopeful on Souttar
Hearts boss Robbie Neilson remains hopeful John Souttar will extend his contract to stay at Tynecastle Park. The centre-back’s deal with the club expires at the end of the season. Neilson said: "I asked Santa for it but it didn't appear yesterday. We are still trying to get John signed up. There is no doubt he is a top player and we just hope that even if he doesn't [sign], he is here for the rest of the season.” (BBC)

6. Davidson prepares for 'busy'January
St Johnstone boss Callum Davidson has admitted it is “going to be a very busy next couple of weeks” in the transfer window. Saints are bottom of the table with just 14 points from 20 games. He said: "I think the squad needs freshened up. The chairman's backing me to do that so I need to go and get players in. Ones who want to fight and run, and look after each other, and play football the proper way.” (Various)

7. Van Bronckhorst hails Rangers
Giovanni van Bronckhorst hailed his Rangers side after they defeated St Mirren 2-0 to maintain a six-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership. He said: “We created a lot of chances and the scoreline maybe needs to be more. But I’m happy with the win, happy with the zero, and we can go into the break in the place we want to be. We can have a good rest and start over again in two weeks.” (Various)

8. Postecoglou gives Kyogo update
Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou reckons Kyogo Furuhashi “should be okay” after limping out of Celtic’s win over St Johnstone on Boxing Day during the first half. He said: “He wasn’t 100 per cent today, but he wanted to give it a go. I said to him ‘Look, if at any stage you feel the need to step off’. That was what he felt.” (Various)
