Robbie Ure grabs first La Liga assist against Spanish giants as Scottish trio contest Serie A clash
How the Scots abroad fared in Spain and Italy
Robbie Ure tasted defeat for the first time in La Liga but bagged his first assist for Sevilla as they went down 3-1 at home to Atletico Madrid on Saturday night.
The Scottish striker was handed his second successive start in the Spanish top flight and his first on home soil but his team were 3-0 down inside 33 minutes at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium.
World Cup winner Alex Baena put Atletico ahead after four minutes and Ure had a chance to level almost instantly but failed to get a proper connection on his back post header from a Julio Diaz cross which flashed wide.

Ademola Lookman fired the visitors 2-0 up after 26 minutes and the third arrived shortly afterwards as Baena grabbed his second of the night to leave Sevilla with a mountain to climb.
The hosts put up a better fight in the second half and pulled one back in the 66th minute when Ure challenged for a Gabriel Suazo cross and the ball broke to Miguel Sierra who reduced arrears with a bouncing volley.
Ure was credited with the assist to pick up his first official goal contribution for Sevilla since his £7.5million summer move from Swedish side Sirius, although the 22-year-old won a penalty on his debut to help earn a 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano and forced a goalkeeper mistake that led to a goal in the 3-1 victory at Athletico Bilbao.
The former Rangers youngster completed the full 90 minutes for the second match running but is still searching for his first La Liga goal. His next chance will come away to Espanyol next Sunday, kick-off 8pm.
Meanwhile, three Scots were on the same pitch in Serie A on Saturday.
Kieron Bowie and Josh Doig both started for Sassuolo against a Torino side featuring Che Adams, who was promoted to the starting line-up after his stunning strike off the bench in the 2-1 defeat by AC Milan last weekend.

It was the former Hibs duo who left with the three points as Sassuolo claimed a 2-1 home victory thanks to goals from Cristian Volpato and Domenico Berardi, who netted the winner shortly after replacing Bowie in the 72nd minute.
None of the Scots finished the match with Doig taken off after 61 minutes while Adams lasted until the 83rd minute before making way.
Elsewhere, Lennon Miller came off the bench as Udinese recorded a 3-2 win away at Monza. The former Motherwell midfielder replaced Jakub Piotrowski on the hour mark with his side leading 3-1 and although Monza pulled a goal back three minutes later, Udinese held on for the three points.
Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour will be in action on Sunday when Napoli host Como, kick-off 5.30pm, while Lewis Ferguson's Bologna travel to Atalanta on Monday night for a match which is live on BBC Alba.
