Rangers right-back Jack Harkness, 17, and Dundee United winger Miller Thomson, 16, have been snapped up by 77, who also have Hibs defender Ryan Porteous on their books.

Harkness said: “I'm delighted to be joining 77 Sports Management. I'm at an important point in my career and am confident that the team there can help guide my development as I look to improve both as a footballer and an athlete.”

Miller said: “The focus for me is on my development as a player and fulfilling my potential over the next few years. I’m excited to be joining the team at 77 Sports Management.”

Andy Murray sad: “Football is a huge passion of mine and I’m looking forward to working with both Jack and Miller. They are both talented, work hard and have bright futures in the game. We are looking forward to helping them develop and maximise their potential.”

Jack and Miller join fellow Scottish footballers Porteous, Jamie Gullan and Fraser Murray (all at Hibs) at the agency, alongside Caroline Weir of Manchester City. 77SM also represents tennis players Paul Jubb, Katie Swan, Harriet Dart and Aidan McHugh, as well as GB sprinters Shannon and Cheriece Hylton.

Murray acts as a mentor to all the athletes at 77SM, offering guidance and advice, particularly on performance related issues, while the co-founders of the agency, Matt Gentry and Gawain Davies, handle the commercial, marketing and media matters.
