Steve Clarke’s side will travel to Wembley next summer for a meeting with the Auld Enemy after defeating Serbia on penalties in the play-off clash in Belgrade on Thursday evening.

They’ll also face the Czech Republic and 2018 World Cup finalists Croatia in Group D. Both the Czechs and Scotland sit tied at 45 in the Fifa World Rankings, while Croatia (9) and England (4) are in the top ten.

Though a relatively tricky group by 24-team European Championship standards, Baker believes England will show their superiority and, if they don’t, major questions should be asked of the Football Association and the English management team.

England have failed to find victory in any of their last meeting with their Group D opponents, including losing a World Cup semi-final to Croatia in Russia.
