Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce expects Matty Longstaff to complete a loan move to Aberdeen.

The 21-year-old central midfielder is a transfer target for Dons manager Stephen Glass, with Aberdeen in negotiations with Magpies over a deal.

And Bruce expects Longstaff to make the move north.

"We've said it's important for him to go and play football so it's a great opportunity for him to do that,” Bruce said on Longstaff. “Aberdeen have put their offer on the table and it looks like he's going to accept it."
