How the Scotland players rated in Nations League defeat to Slovakia

Ratings out of ten for every Scotland player during the Nations League clash with Slovakia.

Scotland’s unbeaten run came to an end at nine consecutive games, though it really shouldn’t have.

The visitors were much the better team in Trnava but wasted several chances, were denied by a couple of excellent saves, and ultimately lost the match to a deflected shot from distance.

Manager Steve Clarke will be pleased with the performance, but unless Israel upset the Czech Republic with a result in Prague tonight, Scotland will need to win in Israel to ensure they’ll top their Nations League group and advance to the top tier.

Player ratings scale - 10: One of best performances you've seen. 9: Outstanding. 8: Very good. 7: Good. 6: Average. 5: Poor, 4: Very poor. 3: Terrible day at office. 2: Abysmal. 1: One of worst performances you've seen.
