Celtic's departed dozen: The 12 internationalists Neil Lennon will be watching over the Nations League break

Neil Lennon will have his fingers crossed for all his international players as this month’s break pits countries into several matches over the next ten days.

That is, if he’s not watching the games through his fingers.

The Celtic boss watched several first team players fly away last month for call-ups that caused all sorts of disruption at Parkhead and Lennoxtown.

No fewer than four of his Hoops – Odsonne Edouard, Hatem ElHamed, Nir Bitton and Ryan Christie – had their domestic duties delayed when they returned from national duties, although Christie managed to avoid infection in the Scotland camp struck down by Covid-19.

This time around the Celtic boss has 12 first-team players, plus two fringe goalkeepers, heading off with various national sides and he’ll be hoping for the successful and safe return of all to take on the remainder of the year’s SPFL Premiership and UEFA Europa League campaign– especially after the chaos of October.

We’ve taken a look at the departed dozen.
