Scotland will return to action in November as they look to end their Nations League campaign in positive fashion with games against North Macedonia and Switzerland.
After winning just one of his first four games in charge during the September international break, new Scotland head coach Sebastien Pocognoli will seek improvement as he looks to pip Slovenia to second place in Group E of the competition.
Having named eight uncapped players in his inaugural squad, there’s plenty of intrigue around who the Belgian boss could include in his Scotland squad this time, with several players catching the eye both in Tony Docherty’s Under-21 side last month and on the domestic front. But which players will be the next to break into the Scotland senior side?
Here are the 8 players we’re tipping to catch the eye of Pocognoli and make a claim for a Scotland senior squad call-up for the November Nations League double-header:

1. Barney Stewart - West Bromwich Albion
The physically imposing striker has had a great month, scoring four goals in five starts at club and country level. He was tipped for a potential World Cup call after an outstanding second half of the campaign with Falkirk last year, before his summer move to the Baggies. 2. Dylan Tait - Dundee United
Scotland's midfield is one of the toughest to break into, such is it's abundance of talent. However, Tait's form since moving to Tannadice is the summer should not be ignored. Wearing the captain's armband at Dundee United, he is the anchor in a dynamic midfield three that many have argued is currently as good as anything else in the division. He averages 1.58 key passes per game, while his expected assists (xA) output of 0.27 per 90 puts him above 88 per cent of all Scottish Premiership midfielders. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

3. James Penrice - Rangers
While Andy Robertson is the clear first choice at left-back, Penrice's form this season since signing on loan for Rangers has been good enough to challenge for a spot in the squad. Currently, Kieran Tierney and Josh Doig are ahead of him in the pecking order, but his consistent performances at Ibrox should have him on Pocognoli's radar.

4. Calvin Miller - Hearts
Many thought the Jambos winger had a strong chance of being included in the Scotland squad last month, however, it was teammate Josh McPake who got the nod ahead of him. His form is getting harder to ignore by the week though, with four goals and one assist in his last six appearances at Tynecastle. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
