Hull City pay overdue instalment to Dundee United

Premiership side Hull City have paid Dundee United an overdue payment of £1m for Andy Robertson.

The money is the first instalment of the £3m fee for the Scotland starlet following his tranfer to Humberside last season.

The Tannadice club had reported the matter to the SFA and had vowed to take the matter to FIFA if the matter was not cleared up imminently.

Manager Steve Bruce put the late payment down to an admin mix-up.

Dundee United have confirmed that they have received payment.
