Hill of Beath Hawthorn 3-5 Bonnyrigg Rose: Lethal start sees Bonnyrigg over the Hill

Bonnyrigg started this game like a train with a strike from Kevin McLeish on five minutes and a well worked goal from Stuart Roseburgh midway through the first half. McLeish then scored from the penalty spot just before the break.

The second half was only a couple of minutes old when they suddenly found themselves in a game. First keeper Mark Weir sliced a clearance leaving Ross Allum to slide the ball home, then Allum’s solo run and shot reduced Bonnyrigg’s lead further. There was a real stramash following that goal, with Rose’s Chris Gray and Allum both
given straight red cards.

Bonnyrigg then settled the ship and added to their tally with a double from Kris Renton. The Haws then pulled another goal back from the penalty spot, Darrin Wright netting to
complete the scoring.
