Highland League: Cove return to top spot

PAUL Emslie struck twice as Cove Rangers came from behind to beat nine-man Formartine United 3-1 and return to the summit.

After failing to beat lowly Clach at home, Forres sit a point adrift, but still hold a game in hand. Emslie said: “We held our nerve and won – and that says it all about the lads”

Stuart Soane put United ahead early on, but Emslie’s double and goals by Emslie and Ryan Stott ensured victory.
