It was supposed to be a straightforward victory for Hibs at the home of their bitter rivals who were languishing at the foot of the table having taken a 15-point hit for entering administration. The Easter Road supporters who packed the away end at Tynecastle arrived in a jovial mood but saw a legitimate goal chalked off for offside, and left under a cloud after another defeat accelerated their descent into the play-off spot, resulting in relegation via a penalty shoot-out defeat by Hamilton Accies.
