SPL Fanzone: Hibernian

Easter Road was paid a visit by Motherwell on Saturday and the Hibs fans were hoping for a repeat of their win in the recent League Cup match between the same two teams.

Alas, an early goal for Motherwell meant we were on the back foot within minutes.

It was a poor performance from Calderwood’s men and, with Garry O’Connor finding himself well-marked on the day, it meant Hibs couldn’t get back into the game. Indeed, Graham Stack was the saving grace as he managed to keep the score down to just one.

Having now played each team in the league this season, Hibs have come away with only two wins and nine points. Financially, we are a club many other clubs envy. With a great stadium as well as a new training centre, we should be flying high. But what’s happening on the park is far from good enough.
