Scott Robertson returns home after Romania stint

FORMER Scotland internationalist Scott Robertson is on the hunt for a club in Britain after ripping up his contract at Romanian side FC Botosani after just three months.

The 30-year-old signed a three-year contract with Botosani in June following his release by Hibernian. However, the midfielder played just 65 minutes for the club in four substitute appearances, failing to make a start.

He agreed to have his contract mutually terminated.

Robertson is now training with Raith Rovers but, with the Fifers’ transfer budget spent, he is unlikely to sign a deal.

As a free agent, he would be able to sign for a club despite the closure of the transfer window.

Former Manchester United and Hibs winger Danny Galbraith is also set to train with Rovers this week after leaving Gillingham in the close season.
