John Guidetti filmed singing ‘H**s are deid’ song

FOOTAGE has appeared of Celtic striker John Guidetti singing a song poking fun at Rangers.

The on-loan Hoops forward was interviewed on Dutch TV channel RTV Rijnmond, and sang over the credits: “Oh John Guidetti, puts the ball in the net-y, he’s a Super Swede and the h**s are deid, walking in Guidetti wonderland.”

A number of Rangers fans took to Twitter, accusing the Swede of using an offensive term but a Celtic insider said: “John was asked to sing the song that is sung about him.

“He doesn’t know what the song is about or the content of it but to suggest there is any sectarian element whatsoever is absolute nonsense.” (Daily Record)

Celtic face cup replay after tempestuous United clash

CELTIC will have it all to do again against Dundee United after the sides drew 1-1 in a fiery Scottish Cup clash at Tannadice yesterday.

Virgil van Dijk saw red for the Hoops after just 11 minutes, following a melee, with United’s Paul Paton also copping a red card.

But Tannadice linesman Graham Chambers confused Paton with team-mate Calum Butcher and advised whistler Craig Thomson to send off the former Partick midfielder.

United have confirmed they will contest Paton’s red card, but Thomson has to admit he acted on incorrect info to free Paton from his ban. (The Sun)

Deila slams ‘diving’ Connolly

AN ANGRY Ronny Deila has slammed Aidan Connolly, accusing him of diving to win Dundee United a penalty.

The Tannadice youngster was felled by Anthony Stokes, with Nadir Ciftci converting the spot kick to give the home side the lead.

But Deila feels Connolly went to ground to easily, claiming: “It is a dive and hopefully it will be the same rules for everybody.”

Celtic’s Derk Boerrigter was slapped with a two-match ban for diving earlier this season. (Various)

Magath jets in for Rangers talks

FELIX Magath is set to hold talks with Dave King - but it is believed the former Fulham boss is not in the frame to replace Kenny McDowall as manager.

The Bundesliga legend arrived in Glasgow last night, and snapped up one per cent of the club’s shares earlier this year.

And he will now sit down with King and Paul Murray for wide-ranging talks on how best to take Rangers forward.

An Ibrox source said last night: “Magath is one of many people with whom they will want to have a conversation.

“But he has not flown in expecting to be unveiled as the next Rangers manager.” (Daily Record)

Ibrox legend John Greig endorses Dave King

RANGERS legend John Greig has given a glowing endorsement of Dave King’s Ibrox takeover by insisting that the new board will seek to help the club and not themselves.

Greig will be King’s guest at the clash with Queen of the South - just his third visit to Ibrox since quitting as a director in 2011 after being ostracised by Craig Whyte.

Greig added: “I got the phone call from Dave who is a good friend of mine and I have known for quite a while and I was delighted to accept his offer.

“I think from the club’s point of view and the fans’ point of view it’s great news especially that they have a board now they can trust – a board full of Rangers-orientated people.” (The Scotsman)

Stevenson: I’ll RETIRE if Hibs win cup

HIBS stalwart Lewis Stevenson has joked that he’ll hang up his boots if Hibs can end their Scottish Cup hoodoo.

Stevenson helped Hibs to a 4-0 win over Berwick Rangers in the quarter finals yesterday, setting up Jason Cummings for the opener and adding a second of his own.

And when the Fifer was asked if he’d consider throwing in the title if he wrote his name into the Hibs history books he joked: “It has certainly crossed my mind a few times!

“The 1902 thing is one of these things that people are going to mention and, to me, it’s crazy that a club as big as Hibs has not won it for so long.

“I’d love to be part of the team that actually does win it.” (The Sun)
