Anya will cost £4m, Hoops told

IKECHI Anya will set Celtic back £4 million if the Hoops want to tempt the Scotland winger north of the Border, according to sources close to Watford.

The Vicarage Road side are reportedly happy to see the 27-year-old leave, and his wage demands are not thought to be an issue - unlike reported Celtic target Steven Fletcher, who is on wages of nearly £50,000 a week.

Anya had a hand in Scotland’s equaliser against the Republic of Ireland and has been linked with a move to Celtic for some time. (Various)

Wilson close to Rangers return

DANNY Wilson is reportedly close to sealing a sensational return to Ibrox.

The 23-year-old chose to leave Hearts despite helping the Jambos return to Scottish football’s top flight, and was linked with Celtic earlier this year.

But with Dedryck Boyata jetting in to Glasgow to join Ronny Deila’s men, Wilson could return to Ibrox, with the Gers needing defensive reinforcements following the departures of Bilel Mohsni and Lee McCulloch.

Gers ‘should sign Ciftci’, says ex-captain

RICHARD Gough has claimed that Rangers should pounce for Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci.

The former Rangers skipper reckons ‘Ciftci has already shown he can cut it at the highest level in Scotland’ and described the Turkish forward as ‘ideal for Rangers.’

Gough said: “Okay, there have been some problems with Ciftci off the pitch, but he’s hardly Gazza. If you can keep him on the straight and narrow, what an asset the lad would be. Strong, powerful and with an eye for goal, he would be ideal for Rangers.” (The Sun)

DUNDEE are holding out for the development fee they believe they are owed following Martin Boyle signing for Hibernian.

The pacy wide man spent the second half of last season on loan at Easter Road, scoring three goals for Alan Stubbs’ men.
