Griffiths aims to make mark in England
The Scotland Under-21 striker’s loan deal at Easter Road has now elapsed and while the lifelong Hibs fan admitted he’d be open to staying in Edinburgh, he’s determined to make a name for himself down south.
Although former Wolves boss Mick McCarthy had told Griffiths he was surplus to requirements, the player is hoping the arrival of new Moineux manager Stale Solbakken will see that decision reversed.

Griffiths said: “I’ve not had any discussions yet. I will go back down to Wolves during the pre-season and see what the new manager has got to say.
“If he doesn’t want me, I will need to weigh up my options and we will see what will happen. But the Championship is a great league and I would like to chance my arm down there.
“With the new manager coming in, there might be places up for grabs. Players will be moving on and players will be staying. I just hope I’m one of those staying to fight for a place in the first team.

“I don’t think they would have been too impressed by either of our performances, but we just need to go back in pre-season and see what they say.
“I think every Hibs fan knows I am a Hibs supporter myself. If the opportunity arises to sign a permanent deal, I would love to do it. But right now I’m trying to concentrate on being at Wolves.”
