• Hearts have won the derby a total of 18 times to compared to Hibs’ 11. The teams have drawn 16 times.

• Hearts are unbeaten in the last nine, winning six and drawing three.

• Hibs’ last win came at Tynecastle in May 2009 when a Derek Riordan penalty won the game 1-0.

• Hibs survivors from that game are Paul Hanlon, Lewis Stevenson and Ian Murray.

• Hearts’ biggest win in SPL derbies came in 2002 when they beat Hibs 5-1, Mark de Vries (pictured) scoring four times. Hearts also won 4-0 in 2005.

• Hibs’ biggest victory was the 6-2 triumph in 2000 when Mixu Paatelainen (pictured) scored a hat-trick.

• The highest aggregate of goals in an Edinburgh derby in the SPL is eight (6-2 in 2000 and 4-4 in 2003).

• The derby has yielded 63 points for Hearts and 46 for Hibs over the past 12 seasons.

• Hearts’ best derby season in the SPL was 2006-07 when they took 10 points from the four games, winning three times and drawing once.
