Edinburgh Derby memories

HEARTS and Hibs meet for the third time this season on Sunday, at Tynecastle, in what will be Hibs assistant boss Billy Brown’s 25th Derby encounter.

Hearts have enjoyed the bragging rights recently, defeating Hibs 3-1 at Easter Road in January, and winning the last Tynecastle encounter 2-0.

But there have been plenty of memorable moments in Derby matches in recent history for both teams, whether it’s Hearts legend John Robertson’s goalscoring record against the Leithers, Mark de Vries scoring four at Tynecastle, or Hibs’ big victories of 0-7 at Tynecastle on New Year’s Day 1974, or the Russell Latapy-inspired 6-2 victory at Easter Road in October 2001.

Whatever colour your scarf; be it maroon or green, and whatever your age; sit back and take a trip down memory lane with our Edinburgh Derby memories.
