Murdoch, 28, is in the US training with New York City FC, after being released by Hibernian at the end of the 2013/14 season.

The former Accrington and Hamilton goalie enlisted the help of the Broadway Dance Center to help him pop the question to Charissa Ferguson in Times Square.

Dancers Jenny Crosson, Cedric Greene, Carmela Girdlestone, Eric Hiraldo, Chris Nicolosi and Katelin Zelon - who also choreographed the dance - were joined by Murdoch as they danced to ‘Marry You’ by Bruno Mars.

Thankfully for Sean, Charissa said yes.

He tweeted: “Thank you so much to the amazing dancers @BroadwayDance for making my flashmob marriage proposal all that I had hoped for and more!! Amazing!”
