On Monday afternoon, the SPFL confirmed that the Scottish Premiership had been concluded with immediate effect, the body’s chairman Murdoch MacLennan stating: “This is not the way anybody involved with Scottish football would have wanted to conclude the league season but, given the grave and unprecedented circumstances that we are facing, the Board has agreed that it is the only practical way forward.”
Celtic have been crowned champions for the ninth season running and Hearts now look towards the Championship unless league reconstruction is ratified.
