Getting off my soapbox, and on a more positive note, I have to say that I was delighted when, a few months ago, the Inverness Caley Thistle manager, John Robertson, was rightly inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame.

My pleasure at this was slightly tempered by the fact that 27 of his 214 goals for Hearts were scored against Hibs.

I remember 46 years ago nine-year-old John proudly showing his father George and me the project he was working on at school. Not surprisingly the subject was football.

Having John and his brother Chris in my school teams at Portobello High are memories I cherish.

And, by the way, if Daniel Stendel leaves Hearts would Robbo not be the man to take them back into the Premiership?
