Hearts: You're the boss

ALAN MURRAY from Penicuik expects a reaction to Tuesday's shock defeat to Falkirk when Motherwell visit Tynecastle.

What would your team and formation be?

We have been a complete mess in defence this season so I feel we need to try and shake things up a wee bit. I would replace Darren Barr, who has not settled yet, and Palazuelos, who is really finding it tough at left back but I'd slot Ruben back into a midfield role."

What are Motherwell's strengths and weaknesses?

They have had a few good results this season on the road and they will be well organised and try to keep it tight. They don't seem to score many, though – typical of a Craig Brown team in a lot of ways.

How would you counter their strengths and exploit their weaknesses?

We need to resist the urge to kick the ball long to Kyle and play through the midfield. If we can win the battle in midfield, we have the forward players to hurt them and, if we can close down their creative players, we can hopefully give a wee bit more protection to the defence.

What do Hearts need to do to win the game?

Be more solid and disciplined at the back and show the same application we did in the second half at Falkirk from the first whistle.
