Hearts fans react to return of Demetri Mitchell on season-long loan

Hearts fans have been responding on social media after the Jambos confirmed the return of Demetri Mitchell on a season-long loan from Manchester United.

The Investigator said on Twitter: “Great signing. Playing in a more advanced position will suit him more I think. He looked better going forward than he did defending. A stand out in the Scottish Premiership. Would love if we could buy him eventually.”

@FidelCathro added: “Ben Garuccio did well against Celtic but I don’t think he’s done enough to keep hold of the shirt instead of Demi.”

@JamboHendo said: “I’m trying to keep my feet on the ground but I have to say we are looking stronger than ever with Demetri coming back. I hope he does play further forward as I thought that’s where he was at his best, whatever it’s exciting times at Tynecastle.”

Ali Graham added: “Demi Mitchell taking number 11 is serious, because the fact he’s definitely a winger is obvious, and he’ll tear the league apart if played there.”

Liam Anderson wanted to know: “Wee Demi Mitchell comes back to play in Scotland despite interest from numerous clubs in England. Is this a new low for English football?”

@Jamie_Jambo wrote: “Demi Mitchell is one of those footballers who just gets it, eh? Clearly ambitious and desperate to impress his parent club, but seems very down to earth and up for doing as well as he can for Hearts.”

Lewis Campbell said: “Demi Mitchell on the left wing is just a beautiful thought. Finally a team to get excited about.”

@iain_1874 added: “With Demi Mitchell coming in we’re not only going to win the treble but also do it without conceding another goal.”

@RFBorthwick had an innocent question: “Is that journo who said Demi Mitchell was ‘never returning to Scottish football’ on Twitter?”
