The veteran Croatian screamed at the whistler before going face to face with the man in charge. Kranjcar was told to leave the field and was quickly replaced by Josh Windass.

St Johnstone’s official Twitter account drew attention to the incident, writing in a now-deleted tweet: “Niko Kranjcar is asked to leave the pitch after screaming at the referee. 0-0.”
