A further five arrests have been made following a police operation in connection with the violence and disorder at the Scottish Cup Final in May.

The operation and subsequent arrests by Police Scotland yesterday takes the total number of arrests following the Scottish Cup Final to 55.

All five arrests yesterday regarded offences under the Offensive Behaviour at Football (Scotland) Act with three also being charged with alleged assault.

Those arrested solely for offensive behaviour at football were two males, aged 17 and 22.

A 15-year old girl was arrested and later released in connection with offensive behaviour at football and an alleged assault. Two males, both 35, were arrested under the same charges.
