Finals will have Hearts pounding

YOUTH footballers will get a taste of the big time in the coming week when they run out on to the Hearts pitch at Tynecastle Stadium to play their South East Region Youth FA finals.

First up will be the trophy to celebrate the "King of Hearts" on Tuesday, 11 May, when Edina Hibs face Tynecastle FC in the under-14 Willie Bauld Cup (kick-off 7.00pm).

How fitting, then, that the Capital rivalry between the SPL clubs will be transformed to under-14 level between two of their respective feeder clubs of the past and present.

The following night, the under-15 Federation of Hearts Supporters' Cup final will feature two of the oldest established clubs in Musselburgh Windsor and Leith Athletic (7.00) while on Friday, a double header of all-Hibs and all-Hearts associated clubs take place.

The under-13 Stewart Brien Cup final between Edina Hibs and Hutchison Vale starts proceedings at 6.00pm and that will be followed by an all-maroon affair when Tynecastle Colts and Tynecastle battle it out for the under-16 Jackie Faichney Cup (kick-off 7.45).
