Fan's verdict: Your views on Hibs' display

Peter Lomax, Newhaven"I'm sick of it. If other results had gone against us we could have been bottom of the SPL and it would have been a fair reflection of the effort put in so far this season. I agree with the general consensus that Hughes has to go and the sooner the better but the players also have to take responsibility for the mess we're in.

"They don't seem able to play for the manager or each other, for the fans or even simply for their professional pride. Why should I care if they don't? Why should I continue to spend money watching a team who lose heart so easily? I genuinely hoped a win on Saturday would start to turn the season around but it was obvious after 15 minutes that we weren't going to turn up. I can't remember a time when I've been so disillusioned with Hibs, with footballers and with football in general."

Andrew Shiels, Abbeyhill

"Yogi just doesn't seem to have any ideas as to how to change things and that was summed up on Saturday by the fact that he never made a substitution despite being comfortably outplayed by an average St Johnstone side. They wanted it more than us and that's what really hurts. I would suggest bringing through a few more of the youngsters as they can't do any worse and at least might show some hunger for the jersey."

"Taxi for Mr Hughes! Hibs are an embarrassment at the moment and everyone at the club needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror. Not good enough."

Robin Thomson, Muirhouse

"Their second goal just about summed up how bad we are right now. A long punt forward from their keeper and the boy's racing through on goal, unacceptable at any level of football never mind in the SPL with two international centre-backs. And why no substitutions? Did Yogi honestly think the XI out there were doing their job? Their keeper barely had to make a save worthy of the name in 90 minutes of sheer dross."

Brian McInnes, Gorebridge

"In 30 years I have rarely seen a Hibs team with such a lack of pride, of passion, of spirit and of guts. I feel sorry for Yogi as he's a good man and a good Hibby but things need to change and quick and at the moment it's hard to see a silver lining. No more excuses."

Mary Anne MacLeod, Trinity

"This was my first Hibs game and I'm sorry to say they didn't look to me much like a professional football team either in ability or in effort. Sol Bamba looked like just about the only one who cared and I could sense his frustration at his lacklustre team-mates. I can't believe my idiot boyfriend insisted on cutting short our holiday in Skye in order to get back in time for this!"

Andy Liddell, Stockbridge

"That was probably the worst performance I've seen so far this season and that's saying something. We never seem to have any width and I can't remember us managing to get to the byline during the whole game, that said, with a narrow midfield, you'd expect they should be able to string a few passes together but that never happened either. Absolute rubbish and I don't know if I'll be back this season, I'm not a glory-hunter but I've better things to do with my money."

Euan Sanderson, Restalrig

"What is there to say? I wouldn't give pass marks to a single player with the possible exception of David Wotherspoon. It seems like there's a terrible team spirit at the moment as players' heads go down very quickly and they were arguing between themselves after only ten minutes. What a terribly depressing afternoon."

Sarah Jackson, Dalry

"A team with no passion and a manager with no idea. At one stage in the second half I was willing Saints to score as I hope the defeat will bring things to a head once and for all. We've been garbage since January and it's time for the board to address matters as there is little to no sign of any improvement."
