Livingston stand firm in Elvis row

LIVINGSTON last night defended their stance not to give out complimentary tickets to angry Falkirk manager Steven Pressley at the weekend.

The Bairns manager was reported to be left seething that the West Lothian outfit failed to provide any free briefs for his squad at Saturday’s First Division encounter, while Ayr United handed only six over to Falkirk last month.

Pressley feels that his young squad are being hit in the pocket by having to buy tickets for their own family members to attend away games.

The former Hearts, Rangers, Celtic and Scotland defender, who feels each stripped visiting player should be given two complimentary tickets by the home team, is taking his fight to the highest level at the Scottish Football League.

But Livingston chief executive Ged Nixon was unrepentant andsaid: “The SFL are clear on this – it’s to the discretion of member clubs for the amount of complimentary tickets given out.

“Livingston, in conjunction with other Scottish Football League clubs, have the same policy.”
