• Major shareholder Dermot Desmond was not in attendance. He was represented by his ‘alternate’, Michael Walsh.

Hide Ad• Desmond, Peter Lawwell, Tom Allison, Brian Wilson, Ian Livingstone and Chris McKay were all up for re-election by rotation. All six were re-elected.
• A resolution to allot new shares, value up to £2.2 million, was approved.
• A resolution on setting up Celtic Supporters Forum, proposed by Celtic Trust, was approved. Forum will have regular meetings with club board throughout the season.
• Green Brigade’s conduct raised by one shareholder, who expressed fears than continued incidents could lead to stadium closure from Uefa. Lawwell said that instances of unacceptable behaviour are automatically blamed on the Green Brigade, but not always the case. There are times when the group are not involved but people assume they are. However, Lawwell felt it important to get message across that all fans should “support the club positively”.
• The prospect of changes to Champions League and European football in general were raised. Lawwell said the success in keeping the ‘Champions route’ in Champions League qualifying for 2018-21 cycle was important for Celtic. However, he expects big changes in 2021-24 cycle. Doesn’t know what they will be but “Celtic are in the seats to influence what happens in the future”.
• Manager Brendan Rodgers agreed that the first team squad is too big. Players will move out over next couple of windows.
• There was a question about the smashed toilets at the first Old Firm game. Lawwell said police enquiry was still ongoing and that Celtic are in discussions with Rangers over who pays for the damage.
