Europa League draw: Rangers to face Sporting Lisbon in last 32

RANGERS will face Portuguese team Sporting Lisbon in the last 32 of the Europe League.

• Steven Whittaker scored a superb goal the last time Rangers met Sporting Lisbon in Europe in 2008

The Glasgow club were victorious over Sporting Lisbon during their Uefa Cup campaign in 2008, drawing 0-0 at Ibrox and winning 2-0 in Portugal.

Sporting are currently fourth in the Portuguese top flight, 13 points behind leaders Porto.

The winners of that tie will go on to play either Lille or PSV Eindhoven in the following round.
