East of Scotland: Stirling students take second

Stirling University returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory against Heriot-Watt University, a result which has moved them into second position in the Central Taxis Premier Division. Liam Corr scored the all-important goal.

Edinburgh University climbed off the bottom of the table after a 1-0 win against Gretna 2008 thanks to a strike from Cyrus Moosavi.

Edinburgh City were too strong for Vale of Leithen and won 3-0 with goals from Paul Devlin, Dougie Gair and Ian McFarland. Civil Service Strollers recorded their first win in more than a month when they beat bottom club Tynecastle 4-2. Ryan Raeburn, Ross Aitchison, Ahmed Wague and Nicky Rendall found the net, while Kevin Brown and John Williams replied for Tynecastle.

Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale and Preston Athletic drew 1-1 in a mid-table clash, while, in the First Division, Coldstream extended their lead at the top of the table with a 3-1 win against Leith Athletic. Craigroyston kept on the fringes of the promotion race with a 7-1 away win against Duns and Berwick Rangers Reserves defeated Hawick Royal Albert 4-1.
