Second Division: East Fife looking to bounce back

EAST FIFE V ALBION ROVERS: John Robertson knows that his men will be facing a team desperate to make up for losing 6-1 at Arbroath at the weekend, but he also knows that a win for the Fifers will ignite hopes of a play-off place again.

He said: “After a disappointing run we have played well in recent games. A win [will give us] a great platform to achieve what we started out aiming for at the start of the season.”

Darren McCormack will miss out after his dismissal at Stirling and David Muir could come in if he shakes off a back injury. Ryan Wallace is a major doubt.

Albion Rovers manager Paul Martin is hoping to bring in a centre back on loan to shore-up his rearguard, but Barry Russell remains out with a hamstring injury. New signings Jordan Halsman, Paul Quinn and Sean Pierce are all included.

FORFAR V STIRLING: Forfar came off the bottom of the table at visitor’s Stirling’s expense when they beat Cowdenbeath at the weekend and, as far as manager Dick Campbell is concerned, there should be no stopping now.

He said: “After two wins out of two, I am seeing signs that we can really start motoring and I want three out of three to give us some real momentum.”

Defensive pair Iain Campbell and David Mowat and midfielder Martyn Fotheringham all missed out at the weekend through knocks and there is still doubt over their chances of playing in this one.

Stirling are again without suspended midfielder John Cawley with goalkeeper Sam Filler still out with a broken hand.
