Just six months after the Fife outfit plunged into administration, fans group Pars United, who successfully struck a Company Voluntary Arrangement at the end of July, insist they remain in a perilous position.

The club and the stadium are still under the control of insolvency practitioners BDO and KPMG respectively but Pars United, who initially raised over £500,000, are hopeful of resolving any remaining issues over the transfer of ownership before the end of September.

Group figure head Bob Garmory said: “We all need to be under no illusion that our club is now fixed. The club is still in a very distressed state and it will take the rest of the season to get a full and robust handle on all the day-to-day matters and to start to run the club both efficiently and at a level appropriate to the level we’re competing at.

“Every week we seem to be finding further issues to resolve.”

Fellow Pars United member Margaret Ross said: “The target for ‘Keep the Pars’ is £150,000 in season 2013/14.”
