Paul Hartley’s side produced impressive attacking displays to beat Rangers and Motherwell last month but Vincent admits they will have to pick their moments against the Ladbrokes Premiership leaders at Dens Park on Sunday.

“We have to do as we have done when we have performed,” the former Inverness player said. “We are fast on the break, good tempo, working well, sticking to the game plan, which the gaffer has put in place. Other than that, everyone doing their jobs and going for it.

“It’s finding that right balance. A team like Celtic has the quality to tear you open, so if you catch yourself in between they will play in between the lines and they will get chance. It is a fine line of when to go and when not to go.

“We have been working on it. We have a game plan and if we execute it right, then we feel like we’ve got a good chance.”

Dundee have lost by the odd goal against Celtic on two occasions this season and Vincent feels they can stop the champions, despite their impressive form under Brendan Rodgers.

“They look very good, they move the ball very fast,” Vincent said. “The manager has got them playing good football, the way football should be played, in my opinion.

“But we have been unfortunate at their place, we were 2-1 down and missed a one-on-one towards the end of the game. We could maybe have taken a point on the day.

“Even though they have been very good, I felt like the team has performed quite well against them this season.

“We know we have got the team, the squad, everything in place to challenge with everyone in the league. It’s just finding that balance and getting the right performance and bringing it out of everyone. Everyone is fired up and hopefully it will come.”
