Dumbarton target first home points

Dumbarton manager Alan Adamson is looking for his men to bounce back from their defeat at Stenhousemuir at the weekend by seeing off Albion Rovers in their bottom of the table clash tonight to pick up their first home points of the season.

He is convinced, however, that his men will meet a Coatbridge side with more than three points on their mind. He said: “There will be five or six former players coming here and, of course, their manager Paul Martin used to be the Dumbarton manager so they will be extra determined to show our fans what they are missing.”

Striker David Winters misses out through suspension and on-loan St Mirren youngster Dominic Kennedy faces a fitness test.

Martin is hoping to bring Motherwell youngster Steven Lawless back to the club on loan after a successful spell on a similar basis last season. Tonight, they will be without suspended Scott Chaplain as well as the injured trio of Danny Ferry, Ciaran Donnelly and Steven Canning.
