Division Two: Ayr United 0-2 Alloa Athletic

Calum Elliot missed a couple of early chances for Alloa but then set up Ryan McCord, who broke the deadlock after 27 minutes. Graeme Holmes made sure of the points with a fine right-foot finish in the final minute to put Alloa on the verge of a play-off place.

Forfar Athletic 3, East Fife 2

Gavin Malin put Forfar shot Forfar ahead after 20 minutes, but East Fife were level when Robert Sloan netted seconds from the interval. Malin netted again four minutes into the second half, Scott McBride headed an equaliser and Gavin Swankie won it with eight minutes left.

Stranraer 3, Brechin City 2

Craig Malcolm gave Stranraer a 28th-minute lead with a penalty, but Derek Carcary equalised when he headed home Alan Trouten’s cross six minutes later and Paul McLean then shot Brechin in front. Malcolm equalised in 71 minutes and Chris Aitken won it five minutes later.

Arbroath 2, Albion Rovers 1

Colin Hamilton’s deflected shot almost gave Arbroath a first-half lead but a Marvin Andrews header set up Rovers’ Pat Walker for the opener ten minutes into the second half. Steven Doris equalised for Arbroath with a late penalty and Alex Keddie headed an even later winner.
