Daley determined to hit the heights again under McCall

Omar Daley is aiming to recapture the best form of his career after reuniting with former Bradford manager Stuart McCall at Motherwell.

The Jamaica winger is set to make his Fir Park debut against St Johnstone today after signing a two-year contract. Daley credits McCall’s man-management skills with bringing out the best in him at Valley Parade and he was keen to be reunited after leaving the League Two club at the end of last season.

When asked for his first impressions of Motherwell, Daley said: “It’s a good team, the way they pass the ball about. That’s the way Stuart likes his teams to play. He gave me the confidence to go out and play my best for Bradford. I want to repeat that.”

St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes is banking again on his frugal defence this afternoon. The Perth side have yet to concede a goal in their three away SPL matches this season against Aberdeen, Celtic and St Mirren.

McInnes said: “That’s four games we have gone unbeaten, two wins and two draws and in the three SPL games away to Aberdeen, Celtic and St Mirren we have had a clean sheet which has given us a chance.”
