Csaba Laszlo would welcome SPL return

FORMER Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo wants to be considered as Kenny Shiels’ successor at Kilmarnock.

The Romanian is current managing Lithuania’s national team but he would welcome a return to the SPL – and claims that he gets on with Rugby Park chairman Michael Johnston. “If someone in Scotland wants to have my services I would be happy about that,” said the 49-year-old. “My family still live in Edinburgh because my daughter is at university and my son is at school there. So I would like to come back but I have not spoken to anyone or applied for the Kilmarnock job. I have a contract here and any interested club must speak to the Lithuanian Federation.

“However, I don’t think that they would block me if there was a better opportunity.”
