Crawley to host Stoke as Stevenage get Spurs

CRAWLEY Town, the lowest-ranked side left in this season’s FA Cup, were handed a meeting with Premier League club Stoke City in the fifth-round draw.

While third-tier side Stevenage will host eight-time winners Tottenham Hotspur in the last 16, Crawley of npower League Two will host last season’s beaten finalists on the weekend of 18-19 February.

Crawley had already beaten Bristol City in this season’s tournament and on Saturday they saw off Championship side Hull City 1-0 thanks to Matt Tubbs’ 57th-minute goal.

“This is the first time we have hosted Premier League opposition at the Broadfield Stadium in a competitive fixture and I’m sure the ground will be packed,” said Alan Williams, chief executive at Crawley, who also reached the fifth round last season. “It’s another wonderful occasion for the club, the players and the fans.”

Liverpool’s reward for a 2-1 fourth-round win over Manchester United is another home match, this time against a Brighton side that knocked out Premier League club Newcastle on Saturday.

Chelsea will host Birmingham after their narrow win over QPR, Paul Lambert’s Norwich will host Leicester, and Owen Coyle’s Bolton will go to the winners of the replay between Millwall and Southampton.

Everton will host Blackpool or Sheffield Wednesday, while Arsenal will play Sunderland or Middlesbrough, who will play their replay on 7 February.
