Odsonne Edouard has recovered from injury in time to face Rangers in the first Old Firm game of the season.

The Frenchman starts in attack as Brendan Rodgers elects to go with the same XI that defeated their rivals 5-0 in the last meeting between the sides.

New signing Filip Benkovic is among the substitutes, though there’s no place for fellow deadline day addition Youssouf Mulumbu in the matchday squad.

Rangers, meanwhile, appear to have reverted back to a four-man defence after shipping three goals in a three-man formation against Motherwell in their last league clash.

Morelos starts in attack despite receiving a red card in his last appearance, a 1-1 draw with Ufa which saw Rangers advance to the Europa League group stages.

The Colombian yesterday agreed to a new contract, committing to the club until 2022.

Celtic: Gordon; Lustig, Boyata, Ajer, Tierney; Brown, Ntcham; Forrest, Rogic, McGregor; Edouard.

Subs: Bain, Griffiths, Sinclair, Gamboa, Christie, Benkovic, Kouassi.

Rangers: McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Katic, Barisic; Jack, Arfield; Lafferty, Ejaria, Kent; Morelos.

Subs: Foderingham, Worrall, Flanagan, Halliday, McCrorie, Candeias, Middleton.
