The club’s duty safety officer Cliff Eager sent the letter to the supporter stating that while they appreciated the fan’s ‘continued support’, they had ‘indentified however that certain comments placed on social media websites by yourself have been not particularly constructive’.

It continued by informing the supporter that his season ticket would be allocated to him in person by Mr Eager on a ‘conditional’ basis.

“I need to advise you that the granting of your season ticket will be ‘conditional’ and subject to you signing an ‘Agreed Behavioural Contract’ (ABC) which will request that you refrain from posting derogatory comments regarding the Club”, it said.

An image of the letter has been uploaded and shared on social media although the recipient’s name has been censored.
