Changing room chat: Who ate all the pies? DJ and Roughie

THE judges tasked with discovering Scotland’s tastiest Premier League pie – Real Radio broadcasting heavyweights Alan Rough and Derek Johnstone – have digested the results of their survey and decided that Hearts have the best recipe for success.

The pie-eating challenge was part of a fund-raising effort for army charity Help for Heroes. The former Scotland internationals had to collect a signed item from every SPL club to put into an auction, and also had to taste a pie at each club – all within 24hrs.

Real Radio reported on their website: “Inverness to Glasgow in a day – they completed their challenge with minutes to spare, and yes they did eat a pie at every club!”

Hearts – who teamed up with new catering partner Saltire – made mincemeat out of their SPL rivals, with Kilmarnock and Aberdeen filling the runners-up spots.

A Hearts spokesman said: “We regard our pies among the best in Scotland and we’re delighted to have earned this honour. Derek and Roughie certainly enjoyed what Saltire dished up and our fans have that privilege every matchday.”
