Changing room chat: Multi-million man Veron set to quit

ARGENTINE midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has told journalists he is about to retire but his current club, Estudiantes, declined to confirm his plans.

The ex-Manchester United and Chelsea player says the match against Racing Club on 31 October will be his last for Estudiantes.

In his career, the 36-year-old commanded a series of huge fees including Parma (£15m), Lazio (£18m), Manchester United (£28m) and Chelsea (£15m). He also played for Boca Juniors in Argentina and featured at three World Cups.
