Celtic's Nir Bitton '˜sent home by Israel national team'

Hide AdBitton, who has 17 caps for his nation, was expected to play his part in Israel’s World Cup qualifier against Albania on Saturday. Though the falling out with manager Elisha Levy was supposed to have occurred after Bitton found he would not be in the starting XI.
The Israel FA released a statement stating that Bitton’s national career would be over as long as Levy was still manager.
It read: “It is the end of the story for Nir Bitton in the national team under the current coach.”
It’s expected he’ll return to Glasgow early after being released by the squad.
Meanwhile, Hibernian goalkeeper Ofir Marciano has also been released by the Israel squad after suffering a knee injury in training. The stopper will undergo an MRI to assess the damage.
