Celtic's Daniel Majstorovic out for two months

Celtic defender Daniel Majstorovic looks will be out for up to 8 weeks after fracturing his right toe.

The central defender was substituted during his side's win over Hamilton at the weekend.

Following a consultation with a specialist, the club confirmed this morning that the Swede will be out for between six and eight weeks.

The news is a blow as Celtic continue their quest for a domestic treble. The defender will miss next weekend's Co-operative Insurance cup final and is unlikely the feature before the top-six split.

A statement on the club's website said: "While the loss of the experienced stopper will be a blow for Neil Lennon, the Hoops are well-covered in this position with Rogne, Charlie Mulgrew and Glenn Loovens all capable of filling in at the heart of the defence."
