'What crime has Soro committed?', 'Brown and Rogic makes for ponderous midfield' - Celtic fans react to St Mirren starting line-up

Celtic have named an unchanged side from the weekend win over Motherwell, but that hasn’t stopped the Hoops fans from debating Neil Lennon’s decisions.

The main talking points on social media are Scott Brown’s inclusion in the starting XI for the third time in seven days, with Ismaila Soro again left on the bench, as well as David Turnbull being moved from the number 10 role to accommodate Tom Rogic.

Some fans are pleased with the team with Celtic Fc To The Core (@CelticFc_Core) tweeting: A solid side. Hope to see Soro back in soon but glad to see Ajeti keep his place as it would be great for him to have a good run at it

Others see it differently.

Tony Petrucci (@tpetrucci1985): Brown playing every game is part of the reason we’re in the state we’re in.

Chris Craig (@RevC92): Lennon's been absolutely dying to drop Soro for his pal Brown for weeks. Brown scoring against Killie was the worst possible outcome for Soro's development.

Palma Bhoy (@Palma_Bhoy): Obviously the manager doesn't fancy a forward playing, positive pivot player such as Soro.

Kyle Hamilton (@KyleH252): Why do we keep playing Turnbull out of position and instead play a guy who may not be here next season

Marky McN (@Marky_Bhoy1985): Looks like Turnbull being moved out wide to make way for Rogic thru the middle. Aye makes sense to move him from his best position & no doubt he'll get subbed again with no plan

Marc McArdle (@marcmcardle1): Absolutely wild that the manager of Celtic football club, with this squad available, has opted for Scott Brown and Tom Rogic as his two best options in either of these positions. Still as baffled as I was the other day as to what crime Ismaila Soro’s committed to merit dropping.

Bhoys Analytics (@BhoysAnalytics): More Scott Bain, Scott Brown and Tom Rogic for Celtic tonight. When will this stupidity end. At least Ajeti has been given more minutes.

Mystic Tims (@MysticTims): Brown and Rogic in the same team again. Makes for a ponderous and wide open midfield diamond again that I'd imagine St Mirren will try to exploit by filling it with bodies. We will struggle to move the ball through the midfield tonite with Brown sitting next to our CHs all game.
