Tom Rogic ready to sign new Celtic deal

Australian international midfielder Rogic, who’s been in eye-catching form for the Scottish champions recently, has revealed talks have started over an extension to his current deal which expires in 18 months.

“The club have made it known to my representatives that they would like to extend it and hopefully we can do that,” said the 22-year-old.

“There is no doubt I am happy here and enjoying my football. I hope it can happen. It was just last week that they spoke, so it is still very early.

“We’ll wait and see what happens. When you see someone of Nir’s quality signing a new deal like he did this week, it can rub off on the rest of the team.

“The majority of the Celtic squad is quite young and everyone will be looking to improve.”
