Green promises McCoist £10m in transfer funds

Rangers chief exec Charles Green has vowed to give manager Ally McCoist half of the £22m raised from the club’s successful flotation on the London Stock Exchange to spend on transfers .

The club are currently banned from signing players until September due to a transfer embargo. (Record)

In an interview yesterday Green also vowed:

• Improve stadium

• Revamp Edmiston House into a bar/ megastore

• Stated that he did not know where Parkhead was and said that he had not spoken his counterpart at Celtic, Peter Lawwell, since the Ibrox club was “thrown out” of the SPL

Green in talks over Ibrox name change

The Rangers chief executive is in talks with three parties over the selling of the naming rights for Ibrox with Newcastle and SportsDirect owner Mike Ashley the frontrunner. (Various)

Charles Green says he will fight to stop the Ibrox side being stripped of titles.

However the Ibrox chief exec says he will still not attend the Hampden dual contracts hearing when it starts next month.

Levein sets up bitter legal battle with SFA
