The beginning of Friday wasn’t the most explosive in this window but things have been hotting up as the day has went along.

We started with news that Rangers are nearing a deal for Aberdeen attacker Scott Wright which will take the 23-year-old to Ibrox this month as opposed to waiting until his contract expires this summer.

Hearts made a splash last week (pun intended) when they signed Gary Mackay-Steven to a two-and-a-half-year contract.

The Jam Tarts are also in the market for a striker but manager Robbie Neilson insists that they are happy to play the waiting game when it comes to bringing in the right man for the job.
